Dragonball Z Rules-
Training-
Training, whether it is in the real world or other world, works several ways. Training can be done for several reasons, although there are only two types of Training. 1. Training to increase your Base Power Level. 2. Training to learn a technique.
-Training to increase your Base Power Level-
The three ways for training to increase your PL are somewhat different. The first way requires only your character. For one IRL week you make training posts, each one having to be more then 300 words long. Each IRL day one training post must be made, unless there is in exception (you were grounded, unable to get on the computer, unable to make a post that day) in which case you will be expected to make it up with an extra post the following day. (These must be separate posts, each one taking a single IC day.) While doing training this way you cannot participate in someone else’s RP, cannot interact with anyone, and cannot join another post during the entire week. At the end of the week of training your character’s power level will have doubled. Once you reach a BPL of 1,000,000 you can no longer train this way.
Goku (BPL: 5,000) trains for one week. At the end of week Goku’s BPL has doubled. (10,000)
The second way of training to increase your BPL is significantly shorter, but requires someone else to train you, whether it be NPC or someone else’s character. The character training you must agree to the training post. The Trainer, or Master, shall make a post for training. Multiple people may join this post, but there must at least be one Trainer. The Master’s power level must be greater then your power level. Example:
Master Roshi makes a post at the Kame House to train. Krillin and Goku join the post to be trained.
Unlike posts done where one trains with themselves, other characters can join requesting to be trained or to interact with the Master and the pupils. Battles can also occur in these posts, sparring or otherwise. In these posts the master requires his or her pupils to perform a series of tasks, including but not limited to going on a long hike, fighting with weighted clothing, wielding a weapon, or sparring with the Master. The posts may be as long as they want to be, but the minimum amount of posts needed is three posts per pupil. At the end of the posts, the pupil’s power increases by half of his total power level while the master’s power level does not increase at all. Example:
Goku (BPL: 5,000) and Krillin (BPL: 3,000) finish training with Master Roshi. (BPL: 15,000) Goku’s new BPL: 7,500, Krillin’s new BPL 4,500. Master Roshi’s BPL is the same, 15,000.
When one enters or creates a post like this, they cannot make or enter another post for the next 24 hours.
The third way of increasing ones power level through training is through sparring with another character. These posts work exactly like a real battle, only the two combatants are not allowed to kill each other. When one makes a post for sparring both of their power level increase by half of what they normally would have gotten for winning a fight. No matter who wins, both combatants receive the power increase. Example:
Tien (BPL: 4,000) and Yamcha (BPL: 3,500) spar. At the end of the spar Tien is victorious. Tien’s BPL increases by 1/6 to 4,666 and Yamcha’s BPL increases by 1/6 to 4,083.
Unlike other forms of training, when one makes or enters a sparring post they can continue Role-Playing afterwards. In order for it to be considered a spar both characters must agree to the spar. Under no circumstances can one character kill another character in a spar.
= -Training to learn a move.-
This training applies to all moves that are custom or unattainable through the regular way. There is only one way to learn moves this way and that is by training with someone who knows the move. Example:
Teddi Wingt knows T-canon. Majin Ted wants to learn T-canon. Teddi teaches Majin Ted T-canon.
To learn a move the Master must teach it to the Pupil. The amount of time it takes to learn a move depends entirely on the Master, but you will not Master the move until you use it at least ten times.
-Learning and Mastering a move-
This works for all moves that are not initially acquired when you post your profile. When you use your Determination points to acquire a move you must train with the move in order to master it completely. Example:
Goku learns Kamehameha from Master Roshi. Goku then uses the move on a T-Rex. Goku’s Kamehameha experience has increased.
When you first get a new move, its power cannot become stronger then your base power level. Example:
Goku (5,000) uses Kamehameha on Vegeta. The Kamehameha has a power level of 5,000.
In order to completely master a move you must use the move at least ten times. Using a move in rapid fire does not count as how many blasts you shot, but as one. Once you have used a move ten times, you have mastered it, and are allowed to charge it.
This is a list of the Races and Classes you can be. Both are required when you make your profile, so go over them.
Races
Saiyans: Saiyans, naturally being warriors, get a 15-point bonus to their strength. Their power level increases by 1/5 at the end of each battle, and if they are fatally wounded 1/3. If they lose a battle they receive no power level increase. Saiyans automatically have the transformation of Oozaru, unless they lose their tail, in which case they lose this transformation. When a Saiyan hits the 500,000 BPL mark, their BPL increase per battle is reduced to 1/10, and 1/6 if they are fatally wounded.
Namekians: Namekians, a naturally powerful and disciplined race, get a 5 point bonus if strength, a 5 point bonus to Ki, and a 10 point bonus to intelligence. Their power levels increase by ¼ each battle they win, and 1/8 each battle they loose. Namekians also have the power to regenerate any part of their body, with the exception of the head or torso, two moves after it has been lost. This power has an infinite use. Once they reach the 500,000 BPL mark, their power increase goes down to 1/8 per battle won, and their increase from losing vanishes.
Varinots: The Varinots, with their obvious reflexes and flexibility, get a 10-point bonus to speed and a 10-point bonus to stamina. When they fight they receive 1/5 of their power level, but if they have beaten their opponent, a few seconds after death or if they are unable to escape, they may be absorbed to receive ½ of their BPL. They take on some physical and mental traits of those who have been absorbed and can receive 1 of their moves. When a Varinot loses a battle they receive no increase. A Varinot can also regenerate any part of their body one turn after it has been lost. The Varinot cannot regenerate if they have been completely destroyed. They can regenerate 3 times per fight.
Tuffles: Tuffles, being a technologically advanced race, gets a 15-point bonus to their intelligence. In a fight they receive 1/3 of BPL if they win, and 1/6 if they lose. Once they hit the 500,000 BPL mark, they no longer receive a BPL increase from losing, and their power level increase goes down to 1/6.
Humans: Humans, being the resourceful beings they are, get a 5-point increase to all stats. When they win a fight their power level increases by 1/3, and when they lose they receive a 1/8 increase. When the 500,000 BPL mark is reached, they receive a 1/6 increase per battle, and a 1/10 per loss.
Kaioshins: Kaoishins, being created for the sole purpose of defending the galaxy, receive a 20 point bonus to Ki and a 5 point bonus to intelligence. When they win a battle they receive a 1/5 battle increase and when they lose a battle they don’t receive an increase. Unlike all other races, Kaoshins do not have transformations, and because of such their power level increase never decreases. Kaioshins automatically have the ability to teleport and can move between the Other World and Real World with ease. They also have a par of potara earrings.
Star Demons: Star Demons, the feared foes of the Kaoshins, receive a 10-point bonus to Stamina and a 5-point bonus to all other stats. They receive a 1/5 BPL increase if they win a battle, and a 1/6 if they lose. Once they hit the 500,000 BPL mark, their increase decreases to 1/7 per battle won and 1/10 per loss. Star Demons, much like the Saiyans, automatically start with the Giga Snake ability.
Changlings: (This refers to all other alien species, not just the race Changlings) Changlings start with a 10-point bonus to both speed and stamina. They receive a 1/5 BPL increase if they win a fight, and a 1/6 if they lose. When the hit the 100,000 BPL mark they receive 1/10 if they win and 1/12 if they lose. They have several transformations, but before they can receive their first one they must be taught by King Cold on Planet Frost.
Energy Absorbing Androids: These are androids that are more machine then humanoid. They receive a 5-point bonus to Intelligence and a 10 point bonus to Ki. They receive 1/6 of their BPL per level and 1/8 if they lose. Absorbing Androids automatically upgrade themselves at the end of each week at the same time they receive their experience, increasing their BPL by 1/3 of their current power level. Once they reach the 100,000 BPL mark, their power level increase goes down to 1/10 per battle with no increase if they lose. In the palm of each of their hands is a absorption point. If the absorption point comes in contact with their opponent at any time, the Android’s stamina is automatically completely regenerated.
Perpetual Energy Androids: These androids are more humanoid then machine. They, unlike the other model Android, have no absorption points and their outward appearance reflects what they looked like before they were turned into an Android. Perpetual Energy Androids receive a 10 point bonus to stealth and a 10 point bonus to Stamina. They CANNOT be sensed by their Ki until they reach the 1,000,000 BPL mark. They recieve a 1/8 increase to their BPL whether they win or lose, adapting to their surroundings. Once they reach the 100,000 BPL mark their increase decreases to They also recieve an upgrade at the end of their week at the same time they recieve their experience, their BPL increasing by half.
Android Absorbing Androids (Cell): These kinds of Androids tend to be one of a kind. They have the cells of the greatest fighters in the universe. They are also unique. They receive a 10-strength bonus and 15 Ki bonus. They can absorb the life of NPCS with their tails and can be stealthily, as they want. After they win each fight they will gain a 1/3 BPL of their Powerlevel and continue on that until they reach the 1,000,000 mark. In which case it goes to 1/7 of their powerlevel.
Classes
There are 7 classes to choose from, each one relying on a specific stat. Depending on the class you choose, you receive certain abilities. Plus you automatically receive 20 points on that stat when you make your character.
Brute: (Stat: Strength)These guys are mountains of muscle and happily show it off, mostly relying on close-range combat. A brute has the ability to enter a state of insanity. In this state they are unable to fire off any Ki blasts but move quickly and attack physically with Brute Force. (Pun intended, people.)
Ranger: (Stat: Ki)These are people who are one with their Ki levels and are usually calm and calculated, attacking from a distance. When Rangers charge their Ki attacks they charge twice as fast, each turn their Ki increasing by the Ranger’s entire BPL instead of half.
Racer: (Stat: Speed)These people rely greatly on speed for both Ki and Physical attacks. Racers have the ability to enter an Adrenaline Rush and double their speed for two posts.
Tank: (Stat: Stamina)Tanks can last forever without taking a break and can sustain a Ki wave for minutes. They have the ability to automatically survive any one attack per fight, but in exchange for this the rest of their stats are cut down to half for the rest of the fight. (For Saiyans this counts as a fatal wound)
Armormen: (Stat: Defense)Armormen are said to have skin made out of titanium, but of course this is just a myth, although they may as well be. They can walk off most weak damage like it is nothing. For one post an Armormen can cause themselves to become numb to all pain for a maximum of five turns, but at the end of this period they will pass out from exhaustion. (Once an Armormen has reached the a stamina rating of 150 they no longer pass out from exhaustion.)
Sneakers: (Stat: Stealth)Skilled in the art of stealth, sneakers are those who attack from a distance and move around unseen. They have the special ability of Hidden Sight, which allows them to turn completely invisible. They cannot be seen for two turns, and if it is done during combat, they cannot attack while this power is activated.
Scholar: (Stat: Knowledge)A scholar is someone who has a gigantic brain, almost the size of his or her ego. The Scholar’s ability is of no use in fights, but when they train pupils they receive 5 experience points per pupil and receive 1/10 of their BPL.
-Power Levels-
Power Levels, or PL, are increased through fighting and training. When you first create your character, you receive a Base Power Level. Your Power Level is initially decided depending on the length and quality of your history, the amount of battles your character has had in your history, your race, your rank, your class, and your Role-Playing ability. Example:
Goku has a Power Level of 5,000
Power levels are increased through training, fighting, and other events. Items and armor that can be purchased from The Shop, acquired through NPC events or other special events that will modify your power level. Example:
Goku equipped the Turtle Gi, increasing his power level by 2,500 to an increased power level of 7,500.
-Base Power Levels-
Your Base Power Level, or BPL, is your original, unaffected Power Level. Before any transformations or items are used this is your Power Level. During a battle you may use a transformation or an item that increases your power level. At the end of that battle your base power level is what you use to increase your power level, not your increased power level. Example:
Goku (BPL: 5,000) transforms into Super Saiyan (BPL x 20 = 100,000.) Super Saiyan Goku uses Kamehameha on Vegeta destroying him completely. Goku’s power level increases.
Correct: BPL divided by 5 = 1,000. Goku’s new BPL: 6,000
Incorrect: 100,000 divided by 5 = 20,000. Goku’s new BPL: 25,000
The same goes for Fusion Battles, in which the BPL of both combatants increases, not the BPL of the fusion character.
